Many companies offer break periods. If you are offered a break (lasting less than 30 minutes), you are entitled to be paid during that time period.

If you are offered a meal break (30 minutes or more) you can not be forced to work during that time period. You do not have to be compensated while on meal breaks unless your company's policy specifies it does.

You have the right to take time off in line with your employer's time off policy. If you follow it and are denied, that denial is a violation of your rights as a worker.

You also have the right to take unpaid leave for medical appointments, medical emergencies, and personal emergencies.

You and your co-workers have the right to organize a union by election with the NLRB. An employer cannot fire you or your coworkers for attempting to organize one.
